I have been a voting member of the AP for many years.  It is difficult when most of the voting members don't get to see much of the other teams around the state.  We rely on each other and records.  You may not agree with our Top 10 and that's OK.  It's an honor for me to have input.

I am so excited for this year's 16th Region Tournament.  For years I have really wanted to do something very different but never had the opportunity because I was broadcasting games and had nobody to really do what I envisioned.  This year, I am in a position to try out an innovative concept for Kool Hits and the Schoolboy Radio Network that I think will be amazing. Each night of the 16th Region Tournament we will begin at 5:20 with our Game Changer PreGame Show.  In that show we will set the stage for the upcoming night of 16th Region Tournament basketball.  We will be switching back and forth from our studio to Johnson Arena with broadcasters and coaches.  We have added some VERY special features that I am very proud of during our Game Changer PreGane Show. It's Been a Bad Day

Today was an extremely difficult day.  On my way to join my "teammates" on The Breakfast Club, I was told of the passing of the ring leader of that exclusive club, Mark Justice.  His passing was sudden and unexpected.  It has been a bad day. After most difficult days, I find myself in the solitude of my paint studio.  Today was such a day.  As I stood gazing at the blank canvas, I felt a peace and comfort come over me.  At that moment these thoughts came to me.  I would shared them with my amazing radio family and it was suggested I blog them for you his fans. Where Has Our Compassion Gone?

I was in Taco Bell last night.  I was going to drive thru but nature called so I went in.  As I came out of the rest room I saw 4 people standing at the counter laughing and talking about a gentleman in the back corner.  Mind you, these weren't teenagers, they were adults.  I knew all 4 of those people laughing.  I wish I could say they were laughing because the gentleman had told them a joke, but they were laughing because he was crying.  The sad thing to me, I had attended church with 3 of the 4, one of which was an officer in the church. Well, to those who were laughing, that man who as weeping in the back corner of Taco Bell has (in the past 7 months) lost a wife to cancer, a daughter to a heroin overdose and had all his money stolen from a stepson who was "helping him take care of the funeral expenses so he didn't have to worry about it."
