Game Changer

I am so excited for this year's 16th Region Tournament.  For years I have really wanted to do something very different but never had the opportunity because I was broadcasting games and had nobody to really do what I envisioned.  This year, I am in a position to try out an innovative concept for Kool Hits and the Schoolboy Radio Network that I think will be amazing.

Each night of the 16th Region Tournament we will begin at 5:20 with our Game Changer PreGame Show.  In that show we will set the stage for the upcoming night of 16th Region Tournament basketball.  We will be switching back and forth from our studio to Johnson Arena with broadcasters and coaches.  We have added some VERY special features that I am very proud of during our Game Changer PreGane Show.

"Rules of the Game"  Each night we will be joined by KHSAA Commissioner Julian Tackett to explain some of the more common yet misunderstood rules in basketball.

"Blast from the Past"  Each night we will talk with former 16th Region players, coaches, officials about their favorite memories of the tournament.  So far we have lined up Jeff Hall, Rocky Adkins, Kelly Wells, Von Perry, Marla Gearhart, Anna Chaffins and Larry Conley.  I am very excited about this segment.  It is helping us preserve the past and show the foundation laid for the athletes of today.

"Coaches Corner"  Each night, 16th Region coaching legend Charles Baker will break down the games from a coaches perspective.  Coach is still very active in the region in both boys and girls basketball and I can't wait to get his take on each match up.

"Student Athlete of the Game"  We have asked coaches and AD's from around the region to nominate SA's based on academics and athletics.  We will spotlight a student athlete before each game.

"Who's Next?"  We will spotlight the regional tournaments of the 16th Regional opponents with a more in depth look at who the 16th Region Champion will face in the Sweet 16,

Each half time show and post game report will originate from our Game Changer Central in our studio.  We will have a panel of our broadcasters on hand to analyze each half of play with in depth stats and thoughts.  

We will have 7 top notch broadcasters involved in our coverage of 16th Region basketball bringing you behind the scenes and up to date coverage like never before.  We call this a Game Changer because this innovative approach will change the way you experience high school athletics.
